The Raven is also part of the Hamatsa of Cannibal Birds these are part of the Winter Ceremony.
He is a large Black bird also a rare White Raven they are
one of the most important beings in Northwest Art he is
known to be a Trickster, Transformer, and attributed to the discovery of fire.
The Mask has been carved from Red cedar and finished off with a cedar bark shirt and Tufts, the lower jaw has the Hawk Man carved into it' it articulates the mask has been knife finished.
The measurements of the mask alone are 40 inches long by 10 inches high by 9 inches wide. The measurements of the mask with the cedar bark skirt and tufts are 50 inches long by 36 inches high by 29 inches wide.
