Carved Mask - Otter Spirit by Beau Dick C2011
The land Otter is the most powerful of all guardian spirits. People believe that Land Otters were originally human, and so possess all the knowledge and power of both species.
An excellent example of Beau's work measuring 24 inches in height by 18 inches wide ans 10 inches deep , the overall width with the hair is 32 inches. The mask has been carved from Red cedar and finished off with hair and Abalone earnings .
