Native Mask - Eagle and Sealion Moon Trevor Hunt c2006
This is a one piece Moon mask carved from old growth Red Cedar all the lines have been deeply carved and then knife finished the painted. The figures around the rim are the Eagle one of the most important beings in the art and mythology, and the Sealion he functions as house posts and guard for the Kumkawa the chief of the undersea world. It measures 22 inches Round and is 7 inches Deep it has been finished off with Cedar Bark rope.
